  16. Well, Mr. Force called me within the past three months looking to buy 
  17. some of my Amiga software (I posted the list on the Net).  I read off the 
  18. games I was selling, and he seemed interested in basically everything I 
  19. was selling.  He told me he would probably pay me at least $20-$30 for 
  20. *each* program, which would have been great for me.  He asked me to ship 
  21. them all to him, and he would install each one on his system to try it 
  22. out, then send me back the ones he didn't want and send me payment via 
  23. some sort of wire transfer (I'm not familiar with these).  Of course, 
  24. this sounded good to me, but then I told him I'd send him only a few at a 
  25. time, and he could pay me, then I'd send him more.  He seemed to agree 
  26. with this, but he really wanted me to send him Civilization (a game I was 
  27. selling) in the first bunch, since he was really interested in it.  I 
  28. agreed, and then a voice (like an operator) came over the line and said 
  29. something about "...one minute remaining for this call..." so he quickly 
  30. told me he'd call me back with an address to which I could send the 
  31. games.

  33. I never heard from him again.

  35. While expecting him to call me back, I inquired over the Net about this 
  36. guy.  Someone told me that Mr. Force had also contacted him, and that he 
  37. gave Mr. Force his credit card number (I DON'T know why...).  When the 
  38. VISA statement came in, there were all kinds of telephone charges (might 
  39. have been in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars) on it.  The 
  40. person disputed it, and didn't have to pay it, and I think the matter is 
  41. still being investigated.

  43. The only info I have on this guy is an e-mail address (coark2@delphi.com) 
  44. and a telephone number (518-448-6022).

  46. If this guy is the crook he is appearing to be, I hope he gets caught.

  48. If anyone else can share some info on him, good or bad or trivial, please 
  49. let us know.
